Taxes

Well I made a major screw up when I did my taxes the other night. I originally didn't have my sons social security number when I filled the form out so my taxes were not reporting correctly. I had gone through it a couple of times and I kept coming up with u shaving to pay $1500 in taxes! I was panicking to say the least. So with a more cleared out mind, I went back at it yesterday and started from scratch going through each line. I even realized I was able to claim my sister in law. So now instead of owing the government an additional $1500, we get a return!!!!! Too bad I can't pay bills with it. It needs to go in for next years taxes on the house... :(

  1. Yeah we are all just a conduit to pass money between levels of government. I get Provincial money for being on assistance that goes to pay Federal student loans.

And nooooo, don't ask me for any advice!!!!! Hide away in the backwoods and live off the land is my only advice to saving money!!

  3. If I weren't so spoiled to city life and all it's conveniences, I would live of the land my dear. But it's getting to the point where it's difficult to even do that legally now.

  4. You should move up here!

1 - we need teachers, not firing them
2 - cheaper cost of living
    3 - no toll stations
4 - lots of jobs probably pay better than what you have now. Might have to work outside, but it pays better.
5 - you would be closer to me!

  6. We don't really get LOTS of snow...we didn't get any snow until really January this year. We have "dry" heat instead of humidity which to me is better. Driving across Amarillo takes 30 minutes on a good day and about 45 minutes on a bad day. Did I mention "no toll booths"? *wink*
